• Trenton Elementary School Dress Code

    Summary

     

    Footwear

    {C}·         {C}All footwear is acceptable except flip flops, shoe-skates, and house shoes.

    Pants/Shorts

    {C}·         {C}Pants must fit at the waist and inseam.

    {C}·         {C}Denim pants (jeans), shorts, and skirts are acceptable and should be one color (black, khaki (tan), or navy) with no lace, beads, or wording other than a factory logo.

    {C}·         {C}Jumpers are acceptable but must be one color (black, khaki (tan), or navy) with no wording other than a factory logo.

    {C}·         {C}Leggings are acceptable but must be a solid color and must be worn with a dress code shirt that ends no more than four inches above the knee.

    {C}·         {C}Pants cannot be gathered at the bottom and have no rips or tears.

    {C}·         {C}Shorts and skirts must not be more than four inches above the knee.

    {C}·         {C}Gym shorts are not allowed.

    {C}·         {C}Students whose pants are deemed to be too loose or too tight will be forced to change clothes or face other punishments up to and including suspension from school.

    Shirts

    • {C}Solid color, collared shirts (polo type, button down, or turtleneck), regardless of color, long or short sleeve, are acceptable.
    • {C}Logos may be worn if they are no more than the size of a credit card (approximately 2”x3.5”).
    • {C}Shirts with buttons must be buttoned at all times with the exception of the top button.

    Headwear

    {C}·         {C}Caps, hats, toboggans, and bandanas are not permitted to be worn inside the building.

    Coats/Jackets

    {C}·         {C}Jackets and sweaters worn in the building must be light weight, waist length and be a solid color or two-toned.

    {C}·         {C}Logos or graphics are not to be more than the size of a credit card (approximately 2”x3.5”).

    {C}·         {C}Hoodies are not allowed.

    Earrings/Piercings

    • {C}Students may wear up to two pairs of earrings that are not distracting or present safety issues.

    Book Bags

    • {C}Backpacks are allowed. Rolling backpacks are only allowed in the fourth grade.

    Black and Gold Fridays

    • {C}On Fridays, TES  students are allowed to wear black and gold school sponsored jerseys, cheerleading outfits, or t-shirts.
